In fact, I know it to be true on this very board. All the doom and gloom and how it was a vastly unpopular position, going to hand future elections to the GOP, etc. I wonder how it ever became a 80-20 issue now? Sometime you just have to do what is right. I wish politicians would learn this lesson...the world would be a much better place. We need more of this, not less of it. I prefer a world where Bill Cassidy speaks out against RFK Jr and his fucked up views, where the Tillis and Cornyn call BS on Blanche and his laughable corruption, etc.

Compassion for people over and above your self interest does not make you a fool, morally bankrupt or a communist. It makes you a good human being.
