Also, it will surprise absolutely none of you to hear me say this but a player should not be in the Hall of Fame based on one game. If Lonnie Smith doesn't fall for a deke by Chuck Knoblauch, then the Braves score at least one in the eighth and assuming that they close out the last six outs (which happened as the game actually played out), then Morris is a hard luck loser rather than the winner in one of the best games ever played. And that's before we get to the fact that the Twins manipulated the vents in the Metrodome to their advantage, which is a partial explanation for how in two World Series, they won every game at home and lost every game on the road. (Why people think that this is just cute fun while the Astros are history's greatest criminals for their sign stealing, I'll never know.) Sports Zeus has punished the Twins in that they have not won a postseason series since the '91 World Series.
