Thoughts on your Thoughts
1. The last time I took my kids to Disney World was when they were ten and eight. That seems to be the age at which it's no longer worthwhile for them. We were fully into the national parks trips by then and they transitioned into liking cities more than parks once they were teenagers. Seattle was the perfect combo of the two because it's great in the summer and has three national parks within a two-hour drive.
2. We were in SF in 2021 (the kids were 14 and 12) and drove the PCH between there and Monterrey. It was fucking fantastic. I really want to drive the rest at some point. The picture is my younger son at a beach where we stopped in between Monterrey and SF.
4. I LOVE San Francisco. When we got back, my conservative friends (none of whom are Trump supporters) were all asking about crime and whether we felt safe there. That notion pervades their thinking, even the reasonable ones, and I never felt anything but safe in SF.
5. I started taking Waymos when I was in Phoenix for work and now they are running around Atlanta. My wife freaked out when I texted her to tell her that I was in one and I hit her with a flood of stats that they are safer than human drivers. Plus, the cars are clean, new, and quiet. I am in favor.

- Just did a 24 trip to SF. The Waymo was MORE expensive than a car with a driver. How does that make sense? You cut out the labor and the product gets more expensive?*

How do you know someone riding a scooter is or isn't disabled? That's exactly what I would look like, btw - I look totally normal walking short distances but can't walk or stand in line more than a few minutes.
