Depressing, but true…my cousin is full MAGA even though she’s Filipina…

…my mother emigrated here after marrying my father and was able to sponsor four brothers, a sister, and her parents over the years. My grandparents cleaned hotel rooms and retired back in PI. My uncles, all college-educated in the Phillipines, had to re-educate themselves to work here…built successful careers, had families, etc.

My cousin was born in the Phillipines and lived there until she was 12 and she and my aunt were able to join my uncle over here. That she views this pathway as something others don’t deserve or shouldn’t aspire to absolutely blows my mind.
