Cranky old man observation (cars) plus weird road rage incident

Putting on my Andy Rooney hat:

Why is everybody backing into parking spots these days? What really doesn't seem to make sense is that almost all newish cars now have rearview cameras, so backing out of a space instead of pulling forward is much safer than it used to be. It just occurred to me that maybe people are backing into spaces because they have the rearview cameras, but I don't like it. In my day you backed out of a spot, and if you ran over a dog or a little kid that was just too bad -- and we liked it that way!

On a more serious note, had a weird road rage incident yesterday. I was at a stop sign turning left, and a guy pulled up on my right and gestured for me to roll my passenger window down. I did and he told me your brake light is out. I said "thanks!" all friendly like, and then he just screams GO GET IT FIXED! then peels away like he's in a drag race. He was a fiftysomething guy wearing earbuds while driving (obviously unsafe) and looked like a Trumper in general.
