the guy behind me is mercilessly tailgating me. I am going 7 over the speed limit, and actually passing a car, so this should not be an unreasonable thing to do. But the guy is probably 5' max from my car, so I gesture with a hand wave to back off a little. He flips me off. I pass the car and move over, and DO NOT look over at the guy who then races past me. Funny thing is, once he passed me, he was not driving much faster than I was. I better understand people who tailgate if they want to drive 5-10-15 mph faster than you, but this guy was probably driving 2-3 mph faster than I was, so him waiting for me to pass the car was a minor inconvenience to him.
