OU was close but the defense was ok in that game. The offense was inept. Actually that is true of the other games too offensively.

Our ceiling was 9-3, even if Minter was DC. Ppl might have been less frustrated perhaps but the record would have been the same.

But re the buck stopping, did Wink hire the D coaches? I don't think so.

Bottom line, we had a very good defense by the numbers. It was not elite. Wink gambled too much but not sure it made any difference. He probalby should have backed off because we weren't getting home. In the bowl game vs Bama, our blitzes did get home and Milroe made like one big throw and one big run all day. Otherwise he got dominated. And that was with Stewart, Graham and Grant sitting out.
