It's not just risky/safe. Fine, blitz all you want, or don't blitz at all - just make it work. And if it doesn't work, it's on you. Especially when your choices are very predictable and the failure so starkly demonstrated on the field. It was like we were tipping off plays at times.

And it's not "would we have won/lost". We're evaluating his personal performance. Whether we would have lost the games anyway or not doesn't mean he did a good job.

Seth called his shots and was right nearly every time. This wasn't Monday morning quarterbacking. He predicted what would happen in those games against good teams, and explained why those were poor choices for the specific offenses we were facing, and it proved out exactly right in the games.

Dude's an asshole and a weirdo, but give props where props are due. He had this guy's number down cold.

And look, if you don't have good coaches, go hire some. If the players need to be taught the basics, teach them the basics. You have months before a ball is even snapped. You're at Michigan, you have every resource at your disposal.
