The officials were watching the Hawkeye feed, which correctly synced the stadium clock to the action. NBC was showing the stadium clock incorrectly synced to the action. This entire controversy has sprung out of NBC showing an incorrect video, which allowed a million dumb conspiracy theories to flower.
