In some ways, they both seem very naive about how they would like government to work. (As Klein says “simpler, fairer, faster.”) But the underlying desire, to make government programs simpler to administer and easier to access, makes perfect sense.

Also, the title was something like “Why people hate the government.” And it offered some good insights, IMO, about the old question about why actual struggling working class Americans aren’t more enthusiastic supporters of progressive policies aimed at helping actual struggling working class Americans.
